What services do you provide?
Career Counseling, Job Referrals, On-the-Job-Training, Career Workshops, Resume/Interviewing assistance and a realistic approach to job searching.

What commitment do I need to the program?
It is necessary for you to actively participate with the program and follow-up on job leads and referrals.

If I am a veteran what are my benefits?
Veterans are eligible for priority job listing announcements. There are currently four areas of training available through a grant; Construction,
Manufacturing, Healthcare and Transportation.

What do you do with the information I give you?
The information supplied is kept confidential and secure. It is used to determine eligibility for the program. Information is stored in a government office with security precautions.

Is my personal information shared with employers?
Personal information is not shared with employers, they only receive employment information.

If I have things on my record, is this information passed on to employers?
No, the only information supplied to employers is that which supports you being hired. Referrals are made based on employer minimum qualifications.

If I am working now, can I still qualify for your programs?
Yes, the program is designed to assist underemployed individuals find full-time/part-time employment. It is however necessary for you to qualify under the program s guidelines and have the time to work with our programs.

Do you work like a temporary agency?
No, we rarely send individuals on temporary assignments, the program goal is to help individuals find permanent employment.

Will not having a driver's license affect my chances of finding employment?
No, however, it will limit employment marketability.

What kind of training can I get from WorkNet?
Training is determined based on marketable skills, need, interests and available funding. There are various state approved training providers.

Where does the funding come from?
The Department of Employment and Training is funded under the Workforce Investment Act and by several grants.

How soon can I start work?
It depends on your skill level, self-motivation and availability of jobs in the labor market.
