Need unemployment insurance services?

 Telephones and computers are available at the Career Resource Centers to contact Unemployment Insurance representatives. Go on-line to the Employment Development Department for your Unemployment Insurance application. For instructions on starting and managing a claim, Click Here

How do your skills match the available jobs?

  • Use software to assess your interests and skills to make training and career decisions.
  • Obtain information about vocational training.
  • Improve your computer skills by completing software tutorials for Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access at GCF Learn Free
  • Practice your typing and 10-key with Mavis Beacon Tutorial software.
  • Obtain a Professional Certificate for typing, 10-key and various computer applications.
  • Typing & other certification tests are administered between 8:00am & 3:30pm

Need to create a resume and other application documents?

  • Use our Resume Builder ** and/or word processing software to create presentable resumes and cover letters.
  • Look at sample resumes and cover letters and get ideas on how to present your experience and skills from Susan Ireland and the O*Net Center
  • Copy and/or fax resumes, applications, licenses or certifications, etc.
  • Have your resume critiqued by one of our experienced staff (Wednesday 2-4PM / Thursday 2-4PM)
  • ** The Resume Builder available only in the Alliance Worknet Career Centers

  • Sign-up for the Alliance Worknet Job Seeker Orientations.
