Alliance Worknet Orientation
If you are ready to return to work and would like one-on-one assistance, the Orientation will provide an overview of the services available through Alliance Worknet. During the second half of the presentation we will assist you to schedule for WorkKeys and/or other workshops.


Online Applications: Unlocking the Mystery
Many businesses now ask job seekers to submit online applications. Since every application is different and every website is unique, the process can be frustrating and time consuming. This workshop will give you the how-to skills to make completing on-line job applications faster and easier.


Resume Basics
When job searching, a resume is your personal advertisement. Learn what employers want to see on your resume. Understand why your resume is the key to obtaining an interview. This workshop focuses on general resume information and how to customize your resume to fit the expectations of the employer. Note: You will not be completing an actual resume.


Resume Builder: A Hands-On Resume Writing Workshop
Pre-Requisite: You must bring an updated work history in hand to attend.
Need to write a resume? Want to be matched with local jobs? At this workshop you can do both! Resume Builder is a user-friendly resume-writing program. The program also matches you to open jobs posted through Alliance Worknet.

Resume Critique
Is your resume helping you to get job interviews? You can come into the Modesto Career Resource Center at 629 12th Street every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and every Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM to have your resume critiqued by an Employment Specialist. Critiques will be conducted on a first come-first served basis.


Interviewing with Confidence
Confidence in an interview can be the final key to getting hired. This workshop explores detailed information about successful interview strategies to help you better understand what the employer is looking for, and how to make the best impression possible during your next interview.


WorkKeys Assessment
WorkKeys is a nationally recognized assessment developed by American College Testing to measure the “real world” skills critical to job success. Many Employers throughout the central valley are using these assessment results when making hiring decisions. Jobseekers can use their WorkKeys scores to qualify for these jobs, to promote to better jobs, to focus their career exploration and training decisions.


KeyTrain Registration
KeyTrain is designed to assist you increase your WorkKeys scores; it is NOT a test. At the KeyTrain registration you will view a demonstration of the KeyTrain software, and receive access to customized lessons that you will be able to access via the internet. Each lesson targets specific WorkKeys subjects that are determined by you and the registration facilitator.
